Are you stuck in a rut? Do you look up to the heavens and ask the Father – What have I done? Why can’t I feel your blessings? Why can’t I hear your voice? Why does all this bad stuff keep happening to me?
The answer may be staring you in the face when you look in the mirror – You may be the stumbling block that you keep tripping over!
Examine your life, your habits, your words, your actions, and your attitudes – is your life one in which the Father would say “this a beautiful witness to and for me, one that brings me honor and esteem?”
– Just as apples come from apple seeds and tomatoes come from tomato seeds, your “physical and spiritual fruit” which everyone can see represents the seed from which it came. What does your fruit say about the seed planted in your inward parts – Is it of the Father and the Messiah, or is it of the Adversary (Satan, the devil, the bad guy, etc.)?
Are you wallowing in self pity and sorrow? Do you care more about yourself than others? Do you over-value your possessions?
– You have put yourself, your needs, and your possessions above Our Heavenly Father and they have become idols in your life. It may have happened quite innocently, and as one who sometimes falls into the trappings of the world, I understand. Yet, it does not change the fact that you are now, purposefully or inadvertently worshipping any and all of the things listed above and not the Father. The Messiah told us that we must take up our Stake and follow him daily. That a rich man could not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven because of the attachment to worldly things. When He sent out the twelve to preach the Kingdom message and to heal the sick, he said take only what you have on you – that’s it! Apostle Sha’ul (Paul) said in his letter to Timothy, that we should only be concerned with spreading the Good news, that all of our needs would be taken care of just as the sparrows and plants of the field.
Also realize the impact of your witness and your testimony on others – there may be many who have things worse than you in life, love, relationships, finances, etc., and yet if you are too consumed with your own problems, you may also cast a stumbling block before them as well as yourself.
There is hope in the Good News and the Father who sent it forth through His son the Messiah and the Apostles. Stand up and rebuke the idols and spirits of possession in your life in the name of Yahushua the Messiah. Reclaim your life, remove the stumbling blocks, make the appropriate changes, and take up your charge to promote the Kingdom of the Most High for it is coming sooner than you think. May you be blessed in your journey to new life in Messiah, and may you bring honor and esteem to Yahweh the Creator of Heaven and Earth and Father to us all. Shalom Aleichem – may my peace be with you!
